Purpose of Activity

To present a survey of nursing programs exploring electronic health record (EHR) use within simulation-based learning experiences (SBLE) in the classroom, skills lab, or simulation lab settings.

After completing this continuing education activity you will be able to:

  1. Define meaningful use and summarize a review of the literature regarding EHR use in nursing programs.
  2. Identify the method used to conduct a survey of nursing programs' utilization of EHRs.
